What is Microsoft Copilot?
Microsoft Copilot is an AI companion designed to support your day-to-day work and creativity. It helps you get clear, straightforward answers, offers practical advice, and provides feedback on what you’re working on. You can use it to inform decisions, explore ideas, or even get a bit of inspiration when you’re stuck. In short, it’s a digital assistant you can ask questions, bounce ideas off, and rely on for quick, useful responses.
How can I use Copilot in my daily work?
You can use Microsoft Copilot as a flexible partner across many of your daily tasks. For example, you can:
- Ask for advice on how to approach a problem or decision.
- Request feedback on text you’ve written, such as emails, reports, or presentations.
- Get concise, direct answers to questions so you spend less time searching.
- Explore new ideas or angles when you need inspiration for content or strategy.
Instead of switching between multiple sources, you can ask Copilot in one place and quickly move from question to action.
What makes Copilot different from a regular search engine?
Microsoft Copilot goes beyond a traditional search engine by acting as an interactive companion rather than just a list of links. When you ask a question, Copilot focuses on giving you clear, conversational answers that you can refine with follow-up questions. It can:
- Provide direct, easy-to-understand responses instead of long result pages.
- Offer feedback and suggestions tailored to what you’re working on.
- Help you reimagine how you gather information by combining advice, explanation, and inspiration in one place.
This makes it useful not only for finding information, but also for shaping ideas and improving the work you produce.

Our utmost priority is maintaining our customer technology needs, which is why 25+ years later we continue to grow.
IN 1983, the firm’s principals—Maureen and Stewart Lande, a husband and wife team—began in the technology field and became a leading Apple computer dealer and repair center. The company also became one of New York’s first Platinum Novell Networks re-sellers.
IN 1994, Maureen Data Systems (MDS) emerged from the sale of The Lande Group, a leading New York systems integrator, which was sold to a NASDAQ-listed IT firm, AlphaNet. At the time of the sale, The Lande Group had over 250 employees, four locations, and revenues of over $50 million—and was recognized as one of the “IT Leading Systems Integrators” by LAN Magazine.
IN 1995, MDS was incorporated as a woman-owned enterprise (WBE). MDS is now a WBE certified company at the local (NYC), state (NY & NJ) and federal levels. The company is headquartered in New York City.
IN 2018, MDS expands to Latin America and the Caribbean region, working out of the Miami, Florida office.
TODAY, MDS has a 70+ unified team of seasoned engineers and technology consultants that possess a variety of skills and certifications and partnered with over 80 key technology and cybersecurity companies, allowing our clients to have an array of options that fit their business goals.
